To see the world again, 10 Argentines came to Taihe for eye treatment

Ten patients with hereditary optic neuropathy of Argentina came to Taihe for Lerber's gene therapy via the contact of the Argentine Embassy in China on May and Nov, 2018.

Hereditary optic neuropathy is a genetic disease of the optic nerve, and is also a rare disease worldwide. In May 2017, Taihe Hospital completed the registration at the US database, and received the first patient on Dec 27th, 2017. Since then, more than 140 patients have received the treatment nationwide, and more than 60% of them have recovered.
