Taihe Hospital is a national drug and medical device clinical trial filing institution, and the trials are managed by the GCP office.

In 2008, it obtained the qualification (No. 201800142) and filed 41 specialties. Later, along with the opening of the Phase I Clinical Trial Center at the Wudang mountain campus, another 36 specialties were registered in 2019. Since then, 270 clinical trials have been carried out, including 187 drug trials and 86 device trials. Besides, the hospital has participated in 23 international projects, 3 phase I innovative drug clinical trials and 8 BE trials. Several trails have passed the inspection and been issued the marketing license.

The hospital is the chair of the society for Drug and Medical Device Clinical Evaluation of Hubei province, the committee of Zhongguancun Jiutai Drug Clinical Trial Technology Innovation Alliance, the vice president of Jianghuai GCP Specialist Alliance, and the strategic cooperation center of Denmark clinical research. It has published several papers in top journals, such as Nature Medicine.
